Whether it’s misuse of adverbs, overuse of words, using a passive voice and the like, you can be sure it will get everything that needs to be covered will be taken up. It will automatically generate a report card you can refer to and lets you add “hashtags” to make editing a breeze.  

4) HemingwayApp

All of us wish to write like Hemingway at one point or another. And this editing tool lets you do just that. Here, your copy will be thoroughly assessed based on its readability, the number of complex words and adverbs, and the number of times you use passive voice. The app is also keen on detecting spelling errors.

5) WordCounter

Do you tend to be repetitive with words? Or find keyword frequency is your weakness? Well then, WordCounter is for you. As the name implies, WordCounter counts and ranks the words on your copy according to their frequency, therefore reducing repetitive writing and/or redundancy in your copy. The app also allows you to include “small” words, optimize root words, and/or adjust the number of words listed by this app. This makes it a great analysis tool, somewhat serves as your “proofreader” of drafts until it is honed to perfection. 


Writing is never easy, especially if you are doing this for the first time, but more so if you need this to increase traffic for your business website. Thus, these editing tools are beneficial to get a lot of work done, see mistakes that you might have overlooked. However, it’s also important to know that such editing tools are only as good as the writers who use them. No matter how much they suggest, of how much you should add or remove, it’s still up to you to follow their suggestions or not.
